At 6 o'clock in the evening yesterday (23rd), an 81-year-old man named Fan reported at No. 23 Tianjing Road, Tuen Mun, accusing him of receiving a call from a man on the 5th of this month and claiming to be a member of the law enforcement agency. During the event, the call was then transferred to a self-proclaimed law enforcement officer in the mainland, asking Fan Nan to activate the online service of the bank account and provide him with a password to investigate the case.

Fan Nan later discovered that about hundreds of thousands of Hong Kong dollar deposits in his account were suspected of being transferred away. The police listed the case as obtaining property by deception and handed it over to the criminal investigation team of Tuen Mun Police District. No one was arrested.
